Job Summary

Maintain and support an enterprise ITSM platform based on IFS Assyst, including implementing approved enhancements, system improvements, and migration activities to a modernized ITSM toolset (ITSMv2). Own Linux-based infrastructure stability, security, patching/upgrades, performance tuning, capacity/storage management, and database backups/recovery. Drive monitoring, troubleshooting, CMDB/interoperability integration, structured change/release support, and documentation while improving reliability, scalability, and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and support Linux-based server infrastructure for the IFS Assyst ITSM platform, ensuring stability, security, and availability.
•Perform OS patching, upgrades, and infrastructure maintenance across platform, application, and OS layers; plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and lifecycle activities.
•Monitor and optimize server performance (CPU, memory, storage, network), manage capacity/storage/data archiving, and support database operations including monitoring, backups, recovery, and disaster recovery testing.
•Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, system, and performance issues, including support for planned outages and after-hours maintenance; optimize infrastructure design for performance, reliability, and scalability.
•Support integrations and interoperability across enterprise systems (including CMDB and external interfaces), assist with structured change/release management, and contribute to migrations to the new ITSM toolset (ITSMv2) while creating and maintaining infrastructure documentation and records.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and enterprise infrastructure management, including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
•5+ years operating and maintaining enterprise IT platforms in production at large scale (e.g., 50,000+ users) or similarly complex environments.
•5+ years supporting complex integrated environments with multiple enterprise application platforms (e.g., Liferay, Java-based, and XML-based interfaces).
•2+ years supporting enterprise ITSM platforms (e.g., IFS Assyst or ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools).
•Hold a valid Secret Security Clearance with the Government of Canada and be located in the National Capital Region (Ottawa/Gatineau), able to work in a hybrid model.
