Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain system-of-systems roadmaps supporting Digital Factory Orchestration, improving trusted interfaces between systems for production stability and outcomes.
  • •Unify and lead work products for the Digital Factory Orchestrator to deliver cohesive integration and iterative delivery while minimizing unplanned downtime.
  • •Align and govern cross-functional agile teams (applications, data/AI, MES/IIoT, automation/robotics, infrastructure/cloud, security) using consistent architecture patterns and reusable reference implementations.
  • •Coordinate end-to-end integrations across factory orchestration, SAP ERP & planning, MES/i4.0, enterprise data warehouse/knowledge graph, and material-movement robotics using event-driven and API-centric patterns.
  • •Conduct discoveries, evaluations, and vendor workshops (including POCs/pilots) to assess frameworks, orchestration runtimes, digital thread capabilities, and industrial protocols, de-risking scale-out with reliability/resilience focus.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with industrial/manufacturing architectures delivering enterprise-grade factory solutions (MES, SCADA/ICS, IIoT) in production, including familiarity with ISA-95/Purdue concepts, event-driven architectures, and API ecosystems.
  • •Experience leading other architects and setting architectures for multiple teams to define, integrate, and deploy complex system-of-system solutions.
  • •Experience with cloud & on-prem computing, including architecture and delivery on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure integrated with on-prem networking/compute/storage in hybrid patterns.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • •Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum 10 years' experience.
