Job Summary

Develop and enhance software applications to meet internal and client objectives, including designing, coding, and maintaining application databases. Analyze and optimize existing software, adapt applications for new platforms, install and advise on deployments, and extensively test for errors. Partner with technical stakeholders during design, consult with clients, produce software documentation, and support software/product review meetings while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop applications that accomplish client objectives and user needs.
•Design, write code, and maintain application databases.
•Analyze, edit, and optimize existing applications to fix problems and enable use on new hardware platforms.
•Remodel and adapt applications to optimize performance and functionality.
•Test applications extensively to ensure they are error- and bug-free; install applications and act as a technical advisor, including documentation and collaboration with stakeholders/clients.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
•Extended proficiency writing software using Java and standard object libraries.
•Extended knowledge of agile development such as Scrum and software development processes.
•Extended proficiency with programming languages such as Java, Perl, Python, and C++ (and related languages like C/C++).
•Experience working with Linux/Unix and Windows plus SQL, and strong analytical/problem-solving and project management skills.
