Key Responsibilities

•Own centralized data assets as the source of truth, including governance and quality guarantees.
•Design scalable data architectures and well-modeled dbt/Snowflake layers that stay performant at SaaS scale.
•Model Stripe data for payments, subscriptions, revenue, and related financial flows.
•Codify SQL optimization and reuse standards across documentation, testing, monitoring, and code review.
•Lead technical execution of complex BI and analytics projects in Hex from design through production.

Salary: USD 175,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related IC role, with depth in consumption modeling rather than only pipeline delivery.
•Fluency in SaaS business metrics (MRR, retention, churn, cohorts, expansion) and the modeling decisions behind them.
•Extensive Snowflake and dbt experience, including incremental strategies, testing, macros, semi-structured data, and attention to performance and cost.
•Advanced SQL with judgment to catch models that could produce wrong numbers without failing.
•Deep experience modeling subscription billing and payments data, including invoices, proration, refunds, and revenue recognition.
