Job Summary

Lead operations for the Buildings & Places Business Line across Canada, partnering with regional leadership to set objectives, KPIs, and targets. Oversee operational, project delivery, quality, safety, client satisfaction, and resource allocation. Coach and build a team of Operations Managers and Project Directors, drive change initiatives, and improve business performance through financial and delivery metrics while representing the business line in key industry events.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with the Regional Business Line Leader to identify, develop, and implement Canada objectives and strategies, including KPIs, guidelines, and targets.
•Build, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Operations Managers and Project Directors; support personal and business development goals.
•Ensure strong project delivery and client service through project oversight, staffing/workload balancing, and technical work aligned to scope, budget, quality, safety, and legislative standards.
•Act as a change leader by identifying and implementing needed changes to meet market, client, and workforce needs.
•Contribute to win strategies and successful project execution, escalate issues impacting client satisfaction or delivery best practices, and represent the business line at key events.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Building Engineering, Planning or a related field and 12 years of relevant Design and Building industry experience, including 4 years of leadership experience.
•15 years of increased supervisory, management and operational/financial experience, with industry-related experience essential.
•Experience in the Design and Building industry, including alternative contracting (integrated project delivery, P3, Alliance).
•Excellent supervisory and leadership skills, including strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience managing large teams of technical staff.
•Proven delivery as a Project Manager on large complex projects and/or programs; PMP certification is an asset.
