Design and deploy automated vision inspection solutions that improve semiconductor manufacturing quality and efficiency. Evaluate, select, and maintain vision and manufacturing equipment, oversee installations and upgrades, and use technical updates to keep systems reliable. Analyze equipment performance and reliability, develop uptime-improvement programs, and provide technical support to repair and process engineering teams. Define preventive maintenance schedules and help troubleshoot equipment issues affecting production.

Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate, select, and order manufacturing equipment that is appropriate and cost effective for company products.
•Oversee installation, modification, upgrades, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
•Monitor equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
•Study equipment performance and reliability; establish programs and solutions to increase uptime and address equipment problems affecting manufacturing.
•Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations and define preventive maintenance schedules.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering degree.
•Experience in algorithm development, image processing, and system integration.
•Expertise developing and deploying automated vision systems to improve production quality and efficiency.
•Experience with vision inspection equipment for semiconductor packages (assembly and test), including in-process and final inspections.
•Technical skills with vision hardware and software (e.g., cameras, lenses, LED/backlighting, OpenCV, Cognex VisionPro, HALCON, Python, C++), plus automation tools (e.g., PLC, Industrial Ethernet, robotics).
