Key Responsibilities

  • •Review tender documents and customer contracting documents including Master Service Agreements, purchase orders, amendments, and extensions.
  • •Identify contractual, commercial, financial, and operational risks and recommend mitigation measures to management.
  • •Support tender teams in preparing contractual exceptions, qualifications, and clarifications.
  • •Develop negotiation positions and lead or support contract negotiations to ensure agreed positions are accurately reflected.
  • •Manage contracts through their lifecycle by preparing summaries and obligation registers, tracking deliverables and notice/milestone/renewal/expiry dates, and handling variations, amendments, extensions, claims, disputes, and entitlement to additional compensation or time.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • •4 to 7 years of total experience in procurement and contracts, in a contract management role in upstream oil and gas.
  • •3 years procurement and contracts handling drilling services contracts in oil and gas upstream operators.
  • •Demonstrated experience with tenders for goods and services, tender and contract review, risk assessment, negotiations, and post-award contract management (variations, claims, dispute resolution).
  • •Good understanding of oil and gas contractual terms and associated commercial risks, with knowledge of oilfield services and different contract models.
