Key Responsibilities

  • •Own HIPAA-compliant source-of-truth artifacts, serving as accountable owner for Excel-based Medicare claims business-rule artifacts with version control and audit-ready documentation.
  • •Act as subject matter expert on CMS Medicare Part A and Part B claims processing and evaluate downstream impact of proposed changes.
  • •Review and validate proposed updates to spreadsheets to ensure accuracy, internal consistency, and alignment with CMS policy and program requirements.
  • •Communicate validated changes externally to stakeholders (including CMS counterparts) with clear narratives on what changed, why, and impacts.
  • •Partner with the Product Manager and Engineering leadership to translate policy and program needs into requirements and ensure implementation fidelity while surfacing tradeoffs and risks.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated subject matter expertise in CMS Medicare claims processing, with hands-on familiarity with Part A and/or Part B claims.
  • •Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or in a closely related role on a federal program or in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • •Strong, practical command of Excel for managing complex structured data formulas, validation, change tracking, and organizing large workbooks.
  • •Working understanding of HIPAA and the handling of PHI/PII, with a track record of treating sensitive data with appropriate care.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate detailed technical or policy content for different audiences.
