Job Summary

Ensure aerospace electronics meet EMI/EMC requirements for real-world reliability. Review customer EMI/EMC requirements, analyze and improve hardware designs, and recommend compliant solutions with cross-functional teams. Develop EMI test plans aligned to RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-461, support execution in the on-site EMI lab, produce test reports, and present findings and recommendations at internal and external design reviews.

Key Responsibilities

•Review customer EMI/EMC requirements and assess compliance or risk.
•Analyze existing and redesigned hardware for EMI/EMC performance.
•Recommend design solutions for compliance in partnership with cross-functional teams.
•Develop EMI test plans and test procedures aligned to customer and industry standards.
•Support in-house EMI lab testing, prepare test reports, and present findings at design reviews.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
•Knowledge of EMI/EMC principles, standards, and testing practices.
•Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering (preferred).
•Experience with EMI/EMC modeling and 3D EM analysis tools such as Ansys EMC Simulation or CST Studio Suite (preferred).
•Hands-on experience with system-level and circuit-level design, plus experience presenting EMI findings at customer design reviews (preferred).
