Key Responsibilities

  • •Report to the Customer Operations Manager and coordinate daily assignments with project managers, Smart Hands, and other support teams.
  • •Manage day-to-day service operations for installations, delivery, and deployment of technical resources within the assigned area.
  • •Install, measure, pull, patch, upgrade, and repair low-voltage cabling and fiber optic structured cable systems, including circuit patching.
  • •Physically install, configure, test, and swap network and related devices (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, phones, and network tools) in network closets/data center cabinets.
  • •Complete MAC requests, perform break-fix and preventive maintenance (including Wi-Fi systems), maintain required documentation/work orders, and respond to emergencies/on-call to meet SLAs.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle capable of carrying a 6-foot ladder.
  • •Must have a working smartphone and basic cabling/technician tools, plus basic laptop/email and Office 365 (Word, Excel) knowledge.
  • •5 years of experience in data communications, including working in communications closets.
  • •Must be proficient using cable testers and fiber testers and understand cable patching processes and 66 Block/110 Block cross-connect procedures.
  • •Must have basic knowledge of data communications networking, IP phone, and Cisco phones/switches/routers, and be able to troubleshoot and explain technical issues to customers.
