Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide analysis for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for external and management reporting.
  • •Manage key accounting provisions and complex areas including receivables accruals, dividend transactions, royalty, onerous contracts, lease agreements, and complex accounting assessments (including underlying RACM and SOX compliance).
  • •Partner with Closing & Reporting, Statutory Reporting, Finance Business Partners, and other support teams to enhance controllership services to Business Units.
  • •Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX standards, and Rio Tinto accounting policies; prepare accounting papers for derivatives and complex accounting issues aligned to IFRS.
  • •Review statutory financials, prepare financial summaries for board meetings, support internal and external audits, and assist with work transition and process standardization.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 6–8 years of finance experience, preferably with CA/MBA and/or team management experience.
  • •Hands-on IFRS reporting experience, with Diploma in IFRS, accounting, or consolidation experience as an asset.
  • •Knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel skills.
  • •Proactive ability to work independently.
  • •Strong analytical skills and critical thinking.
