Build and evolve the centralized People Data platform that powers multiple Checkr products and the company’s AI-powered verification workflows. Own core services, data pipelines, and scalable, reliable architecture for distributed systems and data engineering. Work independently with strong ownership, mentor junior engineers, partner across engineering/product/design, and drive data-driven experimentation while monitoring and resolving production issues.

•Monitor, triage, and resolve production issues; create and maintain data pipelines and foundational datasets.

•Experience with big data technologies including Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, data lakes, and AWS services (EKS, EMR, Serverless, Glue, Athena, S3).
