Develop novel inspection system concepts and configurations for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing, designing and engineering modules and metrology/inspection systems. Conduct physics-based research, analyze experimental data, define requirements and specifications, troubleshoot field and lab issues, and execute feasibility studies. Support vendor selection and technology evaluations, help prepare demonstrations and performance analyses, and guide less experienced physicists/scientists.

•Define novel inspection system concepts and configurations and design statistically valid experiments based on collected/analyzed data.
•Design and engineer modules, qualify modules/sub-modules, and perform data design/collection/analysis for advanced substrates and technologies.
•Develop new or modified inspection and metrology systems; conduct physics research and support lab/field application and system issues.
•Define system requirements/specifications, troubleshoot system problems, and advise on physics-related application issues.
•Plan projects selecting new concepts/approaches, execute feasibility studies, evaluate technologies/competitors, and contribute to vendor selection and technical customer engagements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 120,000 - 165,000

•Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in a relevant discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
•Design and analysis experience collecting and analyzing data to design statistically valid experiments.
•Ability to develop new or modified inspection and metrology systems and perform physics-based research and analysis.
•Experience defining system requirements/specifications and troubleshooting system problems, including responding to field issues.
•Ability to guide less experienced physicists/scientists and act as a resource for colleagues.
