Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive architectural design for strategic digital initiatives in the client’s Cards programme, aligning solutions to enterprise standards and business goals.
  • •Develop and implement API strategies and event-driven integrations to enable extensibility and interoperability across platforms.
  • •Architect end-to-end solutions for payments innovation, fraud prevention, and loyalty with focus on scalability, security, and compliance.
  • •Present and champion architectural designs in governance forums with traceability to enterprise architecture principles and continuous improvement based on feedback.
  • •Produce architecture artefacts (e.g., diagrams, interface design, architecture decision records) and collaborate with engineering leads to bridge solution architecture to detailed, deliverable designs.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in financial services architecture, ideally within cards and customer-facing digital experiences.
  • •Demonstrated ability to operate within enterprise architecture governance frameworks and navigate decision processes collaboratively.
  • •Proven expertise designing enterprise solutions using APIs (Java microservice), gateways (Kong gateway), and event streaming (Kafka).
  • •Deep understanding of API security, including network security, OAuth, TLS, and encryption.
  • •Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence, collaborate, and negotiate across multiple levels.
