Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and coordinate environmental contributions across project designs and assessments for transport infrastructure.
  • •Deliver environmental inputs including planning applications, EIA, and support for DCO examinations and/or planning inquiries.
  • •Coordinate EIA-related deliverables such as EIA screening requests and scoping reports, environmental constraints studies, Environmental Management Plans, and Environmental Statements.
  • •Direct and lead project work including recruitment, bidding, project team management, project delivery, and financial management.
  • •Support new work through proposals, strategic bid preparation, and business development opportunities, including innovative approaches such as Digital EIA.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant environmental degree qualification in EIA or similar.
  • •Achieved or working towards Practitioner/Chartered Environmental Status and Full membership of IEMA (or similar professional body).
  • •Knowledge of transport-related consenting processes, including Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) and Environmental Permit applications, and how they integrate with planning and EIA.
  • •Ability to coordinate tasks across technical teams, clients, stakeholders, and partner organisations, delivering on time and within budget with compliance.
  • •Experience coordinating environmental surveys for EIA for transport schemes, including associated Health and Safety requirements.
