Job Summary

Work on Tyson’s Zeeland Facility automation control systems as part of a cross-discipline team of engineers and maintenance personnel. Create and maintain electrical drawings, ladder logic, schematics, and PLC documentation; program and maintain PLC-based systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation; and troubleshoot equipment issues, including vision software. Support reliability and uptime improvements, collaborate on equipment upgrades and new launches, and develop/manage outside contractors and integrators.

Key Responsibilities

•Create and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation including revisions and design changes.
•Create and maintain ladder logic and Bills of Materials for electrical components; support requisitions and documentation accuracy.
•Maintain PLC-based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation, completing programming changes as required.
•Troubleshoot and maintain, repair, and improve automated equipment (devices, I/O, instruments) to meet production and safety goals.
•Improve equipment uptime and support plant reliability maintenance, including collaborating on upgrades, preventative procedures, product changes, and new product launches.

Key Requirements

•Ability to maintain PLC-based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation, completing programming changes as necessary.
•Strong troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing issues across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical and electronic systems.
•Must reside in the United States; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
