Job Summary

Lead and scale a Strategy team within a fast-growing, AI-powered bookkeeping and tax automation platform. You’ll manage and mentor a small team, serve as the technical escalation point for complex tax strategy questions, and carry a client book with up to 12 strategy meetings per week. Partner with the VP of Tax to operationalize and continuously improve the strategy system, while building a referral partner bench and leveraging TaxPlanIQ, Maverick, and AI tools like ChatGPT and TaxGPT to increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the Strategy team by managing and mentoring three direct reports and setting standards for quality, consistency, and client care.
•Serve as the technical and professional escalation point for the team’s most difficult strategy questions.
•Own a client book of business, leading up to 12 client strategy meetings per week and modeling the standard for the team.
•Deliver advanced, holistic strategies across tax minimization, estate planning, business succession, and insurance alignment.
•Partner with the VP of Tax to execute, scale, and continuously improve the strategy system, including refining SOPs and building a referral partner bench.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Active CPA license required.
•5+ years of progressive tax strategy experience in public accounting or a high-growth advisory environment.

•Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills for working with small business owners, with a tech-forward mindset and willingness to champion AI tools.
