Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage quantity surveying and cost consultancy, including pre- and post-contract duties
  • •Produce cost estimates and manage tenders by reviewing/analyzing tender returns and recommending procurement routes
  • •Take personal responsibility for cost checks and valuations on larger projects to ensure timely, accurate cost checking and valuation
  • •Ensure project remains on budget from design through completion; support value engineering
  • •Deliver full post-contract duties, including evaluating and negotiating final account settlements and supporting junior team members

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or Masters in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • •Professional membership of the RICS (or working towards this) and demonstrable consultancy experience
  • •Experience delivering high value, complex projects in a consultancy environment
  • •Defence, workplace, retail, commercial or mixed-use sector experience (desirable)
  • •Strong numeracy and commercially aware negotiation and organisational skills; strong IT skills including Microsoft Office packages and CostX
