Key Responsibilities

•Install and maintain plant equipment chutes and pipes according to drawings.
•Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects for repair.
•Perform welding and joining (bolt or arc weld) and ensure leak-proof joints through bell/bead welding.
•Inspect and repair or replace pressure vessel parts, valves, regulators, and related components using appropriate tools and machinery.
•Install fittings and connections, study blueprints for dimensions, and provide training and development for direct reports.

Key Requirements

•Inspect boilers and pressure vessels to identify defects such as leaks, weak spots, or defective sections.
•Bolt and arc weld pressure vessel structures and parts, and repair or replace defective components such as safety valves and regulators.

•Minimum Grade 12 certificate and a craft certificate from a recognized institution; must hold a Class C driver’s license.
