•Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of commercial security compliance efforts, moving from manual audits to automated, scalable platforms.
•Build, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and analysts to deliver technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
•Partner within Information Security to operationalize a common control framework integrated into Datadog’s architecture and processes.
•Develop internal tooling to automate evidence collection and dashboarding, reducing operational friction.
•Define and track program metrics (control coverage, audit efficiency, automation adoption) and collaborate to embed compliance-by-design into infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 192,000 - 240,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Experience leading or managing teams in security engineering, GRC, or risk management, with a focus on using AI to build automation and tooling for a GRC engineering approach.
•Strong technical background to review code (Python, Go), interpret architecture diagrams, and understand infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure).
•Deep understanding of compliance frameworks and environments, including implementing HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP at scale in cloud-native settings.
•Proven ability to build trusted relationships across engineering, legal, product, and executive stakeholders and to navigate disagreements with diplomacy.
•Clear communication skills to translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into plain language for engineers, leadership, and external auditors.
