Key Responsibilities

  • •Own product compliance for the company, including setting policy, arbitrating cross-program tradeoffs, and providing launch readiness sign-off as the single point of accountability.
  • •Lead and grow the compliance team, embedding compliance engineers in program teams and ensuring each program has a tailored compliance plan against an 18-month roadmap.
  • •Translate unclear or evolving requirements into a clear compliance strategy while maintaining program momentum and defensible decisions.
  • •Partner with Product and Engineering to align launch timelines to real certification lead times, dependencies, and external constraints; escalate launch-critical risk early.
  • •Direct the SME bench and external strategy by engaging experts across cellular, radio, civil aviation, cybersecurity, supply chain, export, and more, shaping policy and regulation with cross-functional partners.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in product compliance, certification, or regulatory engineering, including experience leading a team.
  • •Deep technical grounding across EMC, radio, and product safety, with working knowledge of adjacent domains (cellular/carrier certification, battery, aviation, cybersecurity, supply chain, export controls).
  • •Track record building process and governance where it didn’t exist, and driving organizational adoption.
  • •Comfortable holding decision rights, including telling a program a launch date is at risk.
  • •Strong cross-functional operating capability across engineering, legal, supply chain, and executive stakeholders.
