Job Summary

Join the WSP Pavement Engineering team to assist in delivering pavement design and maintenance projects across the UK and overseas. You’ll support senior engineers, develop designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, prepare reports and contract documents, and help deliver projects from feasibility to construction, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Job Function: Administration & Executive Assistance

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in delivering pavement projects, including investigation reports, design, and site supervision.
•Carry out road inspections and prepare treatment recommendations.
•Demonstrate good technical knowledge of pavement design, maintenance, and construction projects.
•Provide support to senior engineers within the design team, including planning, programming, and cost estimation.
•Develop pavement designs and prepare contract documentation in accordance with the DMRB and MCHW standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
•Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status with a relevant professional engineering institution (e.g. ICE, CIHT)
•Knowledge of pavement engineering demonstrated through design and investigation experience
•Knowledge/experience of UK pavement design methodologies and contract documentation (DMRB, MCHW)
•Experience of pavement design and maintenance projects
