Job Summary

Conduct day-to-day teller transactions with speed and accuracy while meeting service quality standards. Safeguard bank assets, handle cash and negotiable items, and process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments. Balance and maintain teller stations and assist with balancing vault/ATM/night drop/coin machine. Support customers in person and by phone, record monetary instrument sales, and cross-sell bank products and services. Complete required BSA/AML compliance training.

Key Responsibilities

•Receive, pay out, and handle cash and negotiable items including loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
•Set up, close, and balance the teller station; maintain a neat and well-stocked teller area.
•Record sales of monetary instruments and assist customers with inquiries in person or by telephone.
•Cross-sell bank products and services and open basic consumer accounts as needed.
•Follow limits for customer account protection and bank safety and soundness, adhere to bank policies, and complete BSA/AML compliance training.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED (equivalent).
•0 to 6 months related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Ability to communicate effectively with customers and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations.
•Basic math skills and 10-key proficiency for handling money and financial transactions.
•Ability to exercise judgment with holds and check cashing decisions and complete required BSA/AML and other compliance training.
