Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to new product development within the steel frame product line.
  • •Support assessing manufacturability of proposed new steel frame designs and travel to frame suppliers to learn how best to manufacture frames.
  • •Develop steel frame products and support engineering design work.
  • •Support module factory compatibility by visiting module manufacturers and translating learnings into design work.
  • •Support module test lab setup, establish best practices, engage in failure analysis, and communicate results.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • •3+ years of relevant experience
  • •Toolsets required: SolidWorks, ePDM, FEA (ANSYS preferred)
  • •Extensive knowledge/experience with drawings, model and tolerance standards and application
  • •Strong understanding of DFM for sheet metal stampings and roll-forming
