Key Responsibilities

  • •Spread commercial, business banking, and private bank customer and prospect financial statements of low to medium complexity in accordance with published guidelines to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • •Communicate with portfolio and relationship managers using credit underwriting and accounting knowledge to support spreading guidelines, reporting requirements, and financial covenants.
  • •Develop knowledge of industry-specific nuances and how they affect financial reporting and probability of default ratings.
  • •Assist with special projects and portfolio manager administrative tasks.
  • •Support Central Credit Utility leadership as needed, while following policies and ensuring appropriate risk management and positive customer experience.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics, or equivalent experience.
  • •1 year of credit analysis and/or loan review experience in the banking industry (preferred).
  • •Proficiency in basic software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • •Working knowledge of Fifth Third internal applications (CCAS, ACE, AFS) and vendor systems such as Moody’s Risk Analyst and Crowe Navigator (preferred).
  • •Experience with auto dealerships and/or spreading statements in Crowe Portfolio Analyzer (preferred).
