Key Responsibilities

  • •Design low voltage dry-type transformers (100 kVA–3000 kVA) up to 600 volts and related assemblies of varying complexity.
  • •Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to identify industry standards and compliance requirements impacting product design.
  • •Support product certification planning and testing, including coordination with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs).
  • •Develop engineering repository structure and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for transformer/magnetics design and verification/validation.
  • •Support manufacturing cost/design analysis (DFMEA/DFSS) and collaborate to optimize assembly and testing processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum three (3) years of experience in design and testing of transformers; or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least one (1) year of experience in design and testing of transformers.
  • •Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • •Experience designing and testing low voltage dry-type transformers.
  • •Familiarity with mechanical design software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
