Job Summary

Support a manufacturing workforce of about 500 unionized employees by providing day-to-day labour relations guidance. Ensure consistent application of collective agreements, employment policies, and labour legislation while advising and coaching managers on grievances, investigations, discipline, accommodation, and disability/return-to-work processes. Analyze labour relations trends and prepare cases for union meetings, mediations, and arbitrations. Help leaders navigate organizational change, including LEAN and manufacturing modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage labour relations matters including workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, and accommodation requests.
•Advise managers on interpreting and applying collective agreements, labour legislation, and HR policies.
•Support disability management, return-to-work programs, and reasonable accommodation processes.
•Analyze labour relations trends and recommend preventive, sustainable solutions; prepare cases for union meetings, mediations, and arbitrations.
•Coach managers and support organizational change initiatives, including proactive communication and alignment during transformation (including LEAN and modernization projects).

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in labour relations.
•Experience supporting a unionized workforce and interpreting/applying collective agreements.
•Experience managing grievances, disciplinary matters, workplace investigations, and accommodation requests.
•Bilingual (English and French), with ability to work on-site four days per week on a Monday–Friday (40 hours/week) schedule.
