Job Summary

Deliver structural engineering design for defined packages of work, producing reports, calculation packages, specifications, and 3D models/drawings that clearly communicate solutions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to develop coordinated designs, and present your work through sketches, drawings, writing, and presentations. Perform site inspections during construction and assess existing structures, reporting to the lead structural engineer.

Key Responsibilities

•Undertake structural engineering design for discrete packages of work, including producing reports, calculation packages, and specifications.
•Supervise technicians to produce 3D models and drawings that communicate structural engineering solutions.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions.
•Communicate design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing, and presentations.
•Visit sites to inspect during the construction phase and assess existing structures.

Key Requirements

•An engineering degree and progressing towards Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE).
•Working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes.

•Willingness to take responsibility for designs and support less experienced team members; security clearance required prior to appointment.
