Job Summary

Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team within HSBC CTO Platforms. Define the AI Gateway technical vision and roadmap, oversee end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of the AI Gateway, ensure performance, security, and compliance, and drive agile delivery and engineering governance for high-throughput, enterprise-scale deployments.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team; set goals, conduct performance reviews, provide technical guidance, and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
•Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for the AI Gateway, aligning with AI Platform strategy and business needs; evaluate technologies and patterns to improve scalability, security, and usability.
•Oversee end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of the AI Gateway; ensure standardized interfaces (REST APIs, websocket), versioning, authentication/authorization, rate limiting, monitoring, and logging.
•Ensure performance, scalability, low latency, and high throughput; implement monitoring, load testing, and optimization; establish incident response to minimize downtime.
•Lead agile delivery processes, manage timelines and dependencies, communicate risks to stakeholders, and drive data-driven decisions to ensure on-time delivery.

Key Requirements

•8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years as a tech lead/engineering leader on large-scale platform initiatives
