Key Responsibilities

  • •Build the financial case for major carrier negotiations, including benchmarks, counter-proposals, walk-away points, and deal models for wholesale rates and fees.
  • •Own commitments and risks by modeling, tracking, and managing volume and revenue commitments across carrier agreements, including shortfall visibility and levers before true-ups.
  • •Own connectivity cost forecasting across carriers and markets, driven by subscriber growth, usage profiles, and contractual rate steps; pressure-test against monthly actuals.
  • •Ensure gross margin accuracy by working with the Data team on correct rate cards, tier/zone/promo handling, and reconciliation of carrier invoices to contracted rates.
  • •Analyze usage economics and provide cost-side foundations for customer pricing decisions, including floor prices and margin/scenario models for new deals.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years in commercial finance, FP&A, or strategy roles with exposure to negotiations and unit economics; telecom/wholesale/infrastructure cost environments are a plus.
  • •Built deal models used in negotiation settings, with an understanding of what makes a model precise vs persuasive.
  • •Strong financial modeling using large, messy datasets and complex tiered rate structures; excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • •Ability to validate margins against contractual reality, with comfort working alongside data teams and familiarity with SQL or similar tools.
  • •Curiosity about telecom (roaming, wholesale agreements, MVNO economics) and a partner mindset with clear communication across technical and non-technical teams.
