Job Summary

Mechanical-focused product design engineer, responsible for developing new products and sustaining existing ones through concept development, detailed design, DFMA, and manufacturability improvements. Collaborates with global cross-functional teams, applying GD&T, CAD (Solid Edge/SolidWorks), and PLM (Teamcenter) to deliver reliable, high-quality, cost-efficient solutions across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Generate ideas, develop concepts, and create detailed mechanical designs for new products and product enhancements.
•Perform hand calculations, tolerance analysis, and GD&T stack‑up in alignment with ASME Y14.5 standards.
•Apply strong engineering fundamentals to address design, manufacturing, and performance challenges.
•Provide CAD design support using Solid Edge or SolidWorks for NPD and Sustenance projects.
•Drive cost‑reduction and quality improvement initiatives while maintaining product performance and compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
•Experience in mechanical design, product development, or sustenance engineering roles.
•Working knowledge of CAD tools, with preference for Solid Edge; SolidWorks experience is valued.
•Understanding of casting, plastic, and/or forging design considerations.
•Familiarity with GD&T concepts and ASME Y14.5 standards.
