Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with the ES Culinary Team and Executive Chef to learn basic gardening and proper culinary technique.
  • •Prepare Monday–Friday breakfasts and lunches.
  • •Support weekly catering for meetings and special events hosted by the team.
  • •Assist with inventory control, ordering/usage, and stocking snacks, coffee, and drinks for staff.
  • •Help plan weekly menus and assist with clean-up and special projects, including No Child Hungry and Disaster Relief projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Food industry experience required.
  • •Basic knife skills and basic knowledge of kitchen equipment or willingness to learn.
  • •Willingness to learn “garden to plate” gardening skills (gardening skills are a plus).
  • •Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • •Must be able to multitask and take direction and feedback; stand for long periods of time and work in a variety of temperatures/environments.
