Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to concept studies, strategies, and drawing packages, leading to planning applications, technical approval submissions and construction issue.
  • •Contribute to all types of Development projects across sectors and clients.
  • •Be active on several varied projects at any given time, supporting the Development Team.
  • •Be supported by the Edinburgh team to develop technical capabilities and support career progression.
  • •Engage with clients and stakeholders, liaise with design teams (internal and external) to ensure delivery of tasks to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge of highway design, drainage strategy and design, flood risk assessment and management, utility design and planning.
  • •Ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations and construction drawings.
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related software such as Info Drainage, Micro Drainage and PDS.
  • •Strong written and spoken communication skills and ability to liaise with clients, co-professionals and authorities.
  • •Postgraduate (or equivalent) experience and working towards Chartership or equivalent responsibility.
