Key Responsibilities

•Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring ingredients.
•Carry out simple cooking tasks (grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking) under supervision of senior chefs.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen work areas, including countertops, cutting boards, and equipment.
•Support stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
•Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, monitor cooking processes, and help with plating and garnishing to presentation standards.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years working experience, with 2 years relevant working experience.
•Ability to perform fundamental cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, and roasting.
•Knowledge of food safety principles, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control to prevent foodborne illnesses.
•Familiarity with ingredients (meats, seafood, vegetables, herbs, and spices) and their preparation techniques, plus menu/recipe and plating standards.
•High school diploma and a certificate in food service or equivalent food service cooking experience.
