Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and safely transport loads on required routes.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted, including returning equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required paperwork; deliver documentation after completing the route.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license as required by state and the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing, and pass a DOT physical for vehicles over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and work for prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
