Job Summary

Lead pre-press operations for flexographic printing by directing the mounters, preparing jobs for production, and ensuring plates and sleeves are mounted and proofed to specifications. Coordinate training, upgrades, equipment maintenance, and quality checks with the Pre-Press Manager, troubleshoot mounting and printing issues, forecast usage and output, and maintain inventory for consumables and worn/damaged plates.

•Direct the mounters and coordinate with the Pre-Press Manager on training, upgrades, and evaluations.
•Prepare jobs for production: verify order information, update mounting schedules, and ensure proper set-ups and quality checks.
•Inspect mounting/proofing work for specification compliance; take corrective action to resolve mounting problems and maintain maximum rates with high quality.
•Assist with equipment setup and trouble orders, including mounting plates and applying ink to make trial impressions and proofing for errors and registration.
•Support facility operations and safety: organize workflow, conduct maintenance coordination for shutdowns/repairs, monitor equipment performance, and maintain housekeeping standards.

Key Requirements

•Computer and mechanical background (a plus).
•Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform math tasks using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
