Key Responsibilities

  • •Own system design for agentic capabilities, including orchestration, context/state, tool boundaries, and reliability patterns for non-deterministic systems.
  • •Write TDRs, design docs, and standards to set architectural direction for agentic work across teams.
  • •Prototype architectural decisions to validate them before teams commit at scale.
  • •Partner with Data Science so agent/model work composes cleanly with platform services across APIs, event streaming, and storage.
  • •Review TDRs across engineering and help drive adoption of AI-assisted, agentic development practices while mentoring senior and staff engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time as a senior, staff, or principal-level architect or technical lead designing production systems.
  • •Deep expertise in distributed systems, including service boundaries, consistency models, event-driven architecture, and reliable operation at scale.
  • •Hands-on experience architecting agentic or LLM-powered systems in production (agent loop design, context engineering, tool/function calling integration, RAG, memory/state management, reliability/guardrails).
  • •Working knowledge of data engineering fundamentals (data modeling, pipeline design, streaming vs. batch) to make informed architectural decisions.
  • •Ability to influence without authority, earning buy-in and providing rigorous design review feedback, supported by strong technical writing and mentorship.
