Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the estimation of flood flows using established methodologies in the Flood Estimations Handbook.
•Develop and check hydraulic models (Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM) to support flood alleviation schemes, flood risk assessments, river restoration, and flood maps.
•Produce and review technical reports documenting model build and uncertainties; scope modelling and hydrological approaches considering risks and opportunities.
•Collaborate with engineering teams and technical specialists on fluvial, coastal, surface water, and drainage flood risk management projects.
•Mentor staff and use AECOM project management systems to deliver high-quality outputs aligned to programme and budget.

Key Requirements

•Over 10 years of experience in flood modelling and flood risk assessment.
•Significant experience applying hydraulic modelling software (Flood Modeller and/or TUFLOW) and hydrological assessments using FEH and REFH2.
•Demonstrable experience working on projects in UK&I.
•Strong GIS skills using QGIS, ArcGIS and/or MapInfo.
•Fluent in English (oral and written).
