Key Responsibilities

•Manage the New Bets team within Fintech, building 0-to-1 financial products from early discovery through launch and into stable operations.
•Lead and support team members in developing skills and advancing careers, including goals, regular 1-on-1s, feedback, and coaching.
•Help the team bring the bookkeeping product into stable operations after launch and establish AI-augmented development practices.
•Shape the team’s independence across product, design, and engineering decisions, contributing to the technical direction of the platform.
•Remove roadblocks and build guardrails while collaborating with stakeholders across product and business technology teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 169,200 - 228,900 annually

•A track record as an established software engineer with time spent in a leadership position guiding delivery of quality software.
•Strong full-stack technical background with design and architectural experience; deep knowledge in either Ruby on Rails environments or ReactJS.
•Experience leading in an agile environment—helping teams adapt to change and think critically to solve problems.
•Effective written and oral communication, with transparency and an open dialogue to support coaching conversations.
•A leader and mentor who influences and provides constructive feedback to direct reports to meet and exceed goals.
