Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and maintain the software systems that comprise Cloudflare’s Load Balancing product.
  • •Contribute across the software development lifecycle from system design and documentation to coding, automated tests, and production monitoring.
  • •Collaborate with internal teams (security, network engineering, SRE, and product management) to design scalable solutions to technical problems.
  • •Review peer work to ensure high-quality, maintainable code, while mentoring team members and partnering with support teams.
  • •Debug complex system issues and help maintain and improve operational health across multiple technologies and services.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of relevant professional experience in a technology company.
  • •Strong programming skills in Go, Rust, C++, or a similar systems-level language.
  • •Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
  • •Experience with Unix/Linux development, runtime environments, and monitoring/alerting/debugging high-volume production systems.
