Job Summary

Lead Mechanical/HVAC design delivery for railway station building services, working independently or with a team while coordinating with the WSP India and WSP Australia teams. Perform detailed design in line with international building regulations, codes of practice, CDM, and QA, including complex calculations and technical reviews. Review and sign off calculations, prepare technical submittals, support equipment selection, and supervise engineers and CAD technicians while embedding health and safety in all work practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver HVAC design for railway station building services, taking a senior role in project design work and liaising with the WSP India and WSP Australia teams.
•Carry out detailed design to WSP India, international building regulations, and relevant code standards, ensuring CDM, QA, and technical review for complex calculations and coordination.
•Review and monitor production of calculations, including QA, technical reviews, and sign-off.
•Prepare technical submittals and support equipment selection; perform heat load calculations, duct & pipe sizing, and pressure drop calculations.
•Supervise, coordinate, and support other project engineers and CAD technicians; participate in meetings and ensure health & safety and statutory/regulatory requirements are met.

Key Requirements

•Should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•Proven experience in HVAC design for Railway Station Building Services with significant experience in a similar role or strong track record.
•Strong technical skills in heat load calculations, duct & pipe sizing, and pressure drop calculations.
•Experience with HVAC equipment selection including chillers, AHU, FCU, boiler, fans, and pumps.
•Fully conversant with technical software (e.g., IES, HAP, Hevacomp, Camel) and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MEP Revit, Microstation), with fluent English and understanding of technical terminology.
