Job Summary

Repair and perform minor maintenance on internal combustion vehicles including automobiles, buses, trucks, and tractors. Duties include servicing batteries and tires, cleaning interiors and exteriors, draining and replacing engine fluids, checking and calibrating spark plugs, replacing oil and air filters, adjusting brakes, and replacing windshield wipers. You’ll also assist with major overhauls by disassembling and repairing components, while maintaining tools and keeping the work area organized and safe.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform minor service and repairs (e.g., battery checks/replacements, tire rotation, repairs) on passenger cars, trucks, forklift trucks, and warehouse tractors.
•Wash, polish, and clean vehicle exteriors and interiors.
•Drain, flush, and replace engine, transmission, and differential oils and greases.
•Check, clean, calibrate, and replace spark plugs; replace oil and air filters.
•Assist on major overhaul jobs by disassembling, cleaning, and repairing components such as generators, water pumps, thermostats, points, and electrical wiring; maintain tools and keep the work area clean.

Key Requirements

•High school graduate or equivalent.
•Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to follow safety procedures.
•Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to read US Army service and technical manuals.
•Familiarity with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
•Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening, and obtain and maintain a CAC (including a favorable TIER-1 investigation result).
