Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, store, process, and analyze large sets of data.
  • •Select and maintain optimal solutions, implementing and monitoring data processing and analysis systems.
  • •Integrate data solutions with the company’s architecture and help build core services for machine learning and analytics.
  • •Collaborate with teams to create a culture of transparency and collaboration across (including virtual) locations.
  • •Work with distributed computing and scalable application design principles while supporting global stakeholder needs.

Key Requirements

  • •Lead and collaborate with teams (including virtual teams) to deliver change within tight deadlines.
  • •Process and rationalize structured, message, and semi/unstructured data, integrating multiple large data sources and databases into one system.
  • •Apply distributed computing principles and design principles for scalable applications.
  • •Strong Big Data ecosystem knowledge, including Hortonworks/Cloudera platforms, HDFS, and querying tools on Hive/Spark (PySpark).
  • •Experience developing applications with Scala and Python (including Anaconda), plus CI/CD and agile tooling (Jenkins/Hudson/Ansible, Scrum, Confluence/Jira).
