Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver and unload concrete according to dispatch instructions and customer requirements.
  • •Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use supplied PPE as directed.
  • •Maintain communication with the dispatcher/plant supervisor; check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete required documentation/signatures.
  • •Keep the truck and mixer drum clean (including rinsing before and after deliveries) and perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • •Collect customer money, record transactions on receipts, and assist with basic product knowledge and concrete instruction questions.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum Class B CDL (or complete training and pass the CDL exam to attain licensure).
  • •Acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state issued commercial driver license.
  • •Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
  • •Strong math ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers and perform basic calculations using common units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
  • •Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and safely climb/reach while performing delivery duties.
