Job Summary

Play a key role in supporting the ongoing effectiveness of Nuvei Financial Services’ FCA-regulated financial crime and broader regulatory compliance framework. Reporting to the DCCO, you’ll oversee AML/CTF and sanctions effectiveness, act as a senior escalation point for complex financial crime matters, provide compliance advice and challenge on FCA obligations, and support policy, governance, regulatory reporting, and remediation through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the DCCO in overseeing the effectiveness of AML/CTF, sanctions, suspicious activity reporting, and the wider financial crime framework.
•Serve as a senior escalation point for complex financial crime matters across onboarding, customer risk assessment, periodic and event-driven reviews, transaction monitoring, PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media.
•Provide practical compliance advice and challenge on key FCA obligations including EMR/PSR requirements, safeguarding, operational resilience, complaints, and systems and controls.
•Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance and financial crime policies, procedures, risk assessments, controls, and training.
•Assist with board, committee, senior management, and regulatory reporting, and support FCA/auditor engagement including regulatory requests, inspections, and tracking remediation to completion.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of compliance experience in financial services, ideally in fintech, payments, banking, or digital asset environments.
•Strong experience in financial services compliance and/or financial crime within a UK payments, e-money, acquiring, fintech, or banking context.
•Prior experience as a Deputy MLRO, MLRO support, senior financial crime, or compliance management role.
•Working knowledge of the UK AML/CTF regulatory framework, including Money Laundering Regulations, JMLSG guidance, sanctions expectations, and risk-based due diligence.
•Knowledge of FCA requirements for payment and e-money institutions, including regulatory governance, systems and controls, safeguarding, and operational resilience.
