Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance in the assigned cage and pedigree sister/supersister areas, including generator testing, inspecting wells, greasing bearings, changing fan belts and filters, and checking fan speeds.
  • •Identify equipment failures and make repairs by handling electrical wiring for lighting fixtures/outlets/switches, making plumbing repairs, and performing minor construction repairs.
  • •Maintain vehicles by checking fluid levels, filters, tire pressure, cleaning/disinfecting to remove debris, and ordering replacement parts or coordinating with a contract vendor.
  • •Set up the egg collection system to ensure proper operation.
  • •Perform general maintenance during on-call hours and assigned weekend coverage, including operating water hoses and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
