Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as team lead, project manager, and/or discipline lead on planning, preliminary, and final design for BRT projects.
  • •Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids for BRT infrastructure.
  • •Prepare and/or review multimodal street designs and participate in interdisciplinary review of deliverables.
  • •Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates; provide input to engineering budget and schedule.
  • •Perform quality control on design calculations/drawings and provide leadership and mentorship to entry-level engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 8 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Professional Engineering license.
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or Microstation/Power InRoads or Power GeoPak or OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • •Roadway design experience.
  • •Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and/or Light Rail Transit (LRT) design experience.
