Location: United States
Workplace: Remote
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Data Science & Machine Learning
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute and analyze DFT and multi-scale reference systems to predict phase stability, magnetocrystalline anisotropy, saturation magnetization, Curie temperature, and related properties across Fe- and Co-based intermetallic systems.
  • •Develop and test computational workflows and ML interatomic potentials/surrogate models for high-throughput screening and optimization of rare-earth-lean and rare-earth-free permanent magnet candidates.
  • •Lead data-generation campaigns to feed the magnetism-aware LQM, specifying energetics, descriptors, and uncertainty estimates with platform and data-generation teams.
  • •Connect atomistic outputs to microstructure- and process-level predictions (powder metallurgy, sintering, heat treatment) to keep formulations manufacturable with existing industry equipment.
  • •Collaborate with experimental partners to test and iterate predictions within the DBTL feedback loop, and contribute to project plans, publications, and IP.
