Key Responsibilities

  • •Respond to ARFF emergencies to prevent/extinguish fires and rescue aircraft crew/passengers using specialist equipment.
  • •Respond to SRFF/airfield structural incidents and fire hazards using specialist equipment and firefighting media as required.
  • •Conduct rescue operations and safe removal of trapped/injured persons, including working at height/confined spaces when needed.
  • •Operate firefighting/foam equipment and regularly check tools, PPE, and SCBA for operational readiness.
  • •Serve in driver/operator or control room operator capacity as needed: ensure vehicle/equipment readiness, dispatch resources to alarms, monitor airfield crash alarms, and maintain incident/control logs.

Key Requirements

  • •2-5 years’ fire/rescue services experience, including 2 years as a firefighter at an ICAO Category Five (5) airfield or above (additional experience may substitute for up to 2 years education).
  • •Certified ‘Medically Fit’ for the role and able to provide required passport status from a FVEY nation.
  • •Fire and rescue qualifications at least equal to: ICAO Firefighter, NFPA 1001 Firefighter I/II, NFPA 1002/1003, and NFPA 1061 Public Safety Telecommunicator I/II (plus NFPA 472/1072 HAZMAT First Responder Technician Level).
  • •First Aid/Basic Life Support certification (essential).
  • •Must have a valid heavy vehicle operator license in country of origin and ability to obtain an equivalent in the United Arab Emirates (essential).
