Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide full lifecycle support of production-quality FPGA designs for major vendors and device families (AMD Xilinx, Altera, Microchip) using tools such as Vivado, Quartus Prime Pro, or Libero
  • •Generate FPGA designs for gigabit and multigigabit interfaces, RF DSP, controls, data links, embedded processing and processor interfaces
  • •Translate system-level requirements into FPGA requirements and architect FPGA-based systems (parts, interfaces, CONOPS)
  • •Lead small to medium teams of FPGA engineers and code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability, and coach junior engineers
  • •Verify designs with self-checking techniques, directed/random tests, and measure coverage; document requirements, verification plans, and user guides

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant FPGA/ASIC experience
  • •Experience with FPGA/ASIC design or verification (VHDL/Verilog, SystemVerilog)
